Gastón Riveira is the creator and soul Mater of La Cabrera, one of the most successful grills in Buenos Aires.
It does not respond to the profile of a classic barbecue, it can be defined as a real cook: select the merchandise, take out costs, try each dish and investigate trends. He is in every detail, he is an all-terrain entrepreneur.
His destiny was to be a lawyer, but since childhood he liked cooking, a vocation that was born out of contact with his grandparents. After finishing secondary school, he decided to study cooking. He entered the school of Alicia Berger and in parallel worked in different restaurants and hotels. Then he traveled to Europe, studied in Lenotre, France, and did internships in Italy, London and San Pablo, and with Alex Atala, in Brazil.
When he felt it was time to have his own space, he leaned for the meat, “the national ingredient, what everyone likes” and decided to create a new concept on the grill: “I wanted it to be an impeccable place where all the The world ate well and had a better time. I knew that to work, I had to have a good team and I, to be present, because a restaurant can not be operated by remote control. “This is how La Cabrera was born, a different grill.
